The SIS 1202 interpreter station has been developed for two
interpreters. For each interpreter a headset or a microphone and a
headphone can be connected to the interpreter station. The headphone
signal can be switched between the original and a selected relay
language. The original language is fed from a mixing console or a
conference system into the control unit. The relay language is the
translation of the original language, which the interpreter can use, if
he/she cannot interpret from the current original language.
The user panel has been designed according to practical criteria and
comfort so that the interpreter can operate the station intuitively. The
interpreter station is connected to the control unit. Usually a maximum
of 4 interpreter stations can be connected in a daisy chain to a
control unit. As an option the control unit can be equipped with two
more modules each with 4 connections for further foreign languages, so
that a maximum of 12 interpreter stations can be connected in a daisy
chain.
With the “EarPatron” hearing protection the sound pressure does not
exceed a maximum value. In addition to this the achieved noise level is
indicated in percent. With EarPatron® all headphones have the same
maximum sound pressure level and volume range after entering the data of
the headphone. The large display indicates selectable voice and relay
channels and information of the EarPatron® function. It is possible to
program two more lines via the control unit or the PC (e.g. name of the
speaker, time etc.).
