The Audio-Technica AT8022 features a stereo pair of condenser microphones that are arranged in an XY arrangement, avoiding any issues with phase cancellation. The microphone also sports a switchable 80Hz highpass filter, so you can eliminate low end rumble.
Camera-mountable and compact for field recording
The AT8022 is both lightweight and compact. It mounts easily onto a video camera and is also equally well suited to interviewing, field recording, and personal recording applications.
Powered by battery or phantom power
Adding to its mobile convenience, the AT8022 can be powered by phantom power when it's available. Or, you can just as easily power it by an onboard battery.
